Time
& Money Saving Tips:
1. Sign Up
for the FREE MouseSavers Newsletter (http://www.mousesavers.com/newsletter.html):
It comes out by e-mail on the 15th of each month and offers EXCLUSIVE
discounts not available on the web site, plus fun Disney news
and lots more! This mailing list has a privacy policy guaranteeing
your personal information will not be shared or sold.To subscribe
to the FREE newsletter, just fill out the form at the Web site
listed above.
2. Order tickets in advance so you can avoid the lines at the
ticket windows; Log on to Disney's Web site: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/dlr/index
. If you plan on staying for three or more days, Flex Passports
are the best deal, but you must purchase them in advance through
a travel agent, at a Disney store, as part of a Disney Vacation
Package, or online. They're not available at the ticket windows.
3. Character Dinners: If your child isn't frightened of costumed
characters, make a reservation for a "character" dinner
(where Disney characters stroll from table to table, meeting children)
at Goofy's Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel. You don't have to
stay at the hotel to take advantage of these fun mealtimes. You
could also opt for a character breakfast or lunch, but you may
feel less rushed at dinnertime. Call (714) 956-6425 for reservations.
4 . Call for opening hours: Call the park at (714) 781-4565 or
(714) 956-6425 to find out the official opening hours for the
day(s) you plan to visit. Then show up a half-hour in advance;
the park often opens early, allowing you to beat the crowds at
popular rides. And in the event that the park doesn't open early,
you'll have more time to find parking and get to the gate.
5 . Tired children: If your youngster is showing signs of getting
tired and you're staying near the park, get your hands stamped
for a return and retreat to your accommodations for a few hours'
rest and perhaps a splash in the hotel pool. This is an especially
smart tactic if you have more than one day at Disneyland. If you
do take a break, you can complete the itinerary by remaining at
the park through the evening.
